The Issues
Job Growth
- Believes Job Growth is the most pressing issue facing Oregon and should be priority one.
- Does not believe higher taxes for citizens and employers lead to job growth and will fight these initiatives.
- Believes in business friendly legislative policies to encourage job growth.
- Will work to bring practical and sustainable industrial and commercial growth to provide living wage jobs for Oregonians.
- Will vote "NO" for any type of sales tax.
Education
- Attempts to fix current system have been reactionary; the problem is deeper and rooted.
- Believes Oregon tax dollars are spread too thin; budgetary priorities need to be focused back to the classroom, the teachers and our students.
- Believes our curriculum should be brought to focus on the reading and writing of English, Mathematics, Science, and American History.
- Will work to create the "Gold Standard" for American primary education right here in Oregon, we can and will set the standard for the country.
Veterans
- Believes that soldiers and their families should receive non-taxable combat pay while in hostile war zones.
- Believes in making therapeutic services and medical services readily and easily available for veterans.
- Will support a state campaign to promote employment opportunities for veterans.
